Twelve-year-old Nicky from Shropshire, who has Down syndrome and developmental delays, has found a new passion: the guitar.

Mum said;

“We went to a local event, and a man let Nicky play his guitar.” He loved it so much that after, he kept pretending to play with a toy guitar for months.

As soon as the opportunity came up with Shropshire Council, I jumped at the chance to get lessons where he would be in a safe environment with trusted people. He was so excited.

“These lessons are about Nicky finding enjoyment in music and learning something new! He loves showing people his guitar and is so proud when he plays a few chords (especially for his grandparents).

There is no pressure for him to perform; I just want him to be happy and enjoy it. “Our wish would be for more lessons so Nicky can continue to learn.”

With the funds we raised at Christmas, we are now able to help Nicky continue to learn, and become a rock star! We cant wait to hear you, Nicky.
