Leo’s wish

Leo, who will be 4 in June, was diagnosed with stage 3 Burkitt’s lymphoma while in intensive care. He has been affected physically after being bed-bound and is struggling mentally due to the intensive treatment. He is currently receiving intensive chemotherapy as an inpatient for six months.

Mum said,

“Leo has really suffered being inside hospital and we have already missed out on so much in his young life. He was diagnosed over Christmas, so he missed out on many of the festive activities, so making new memories and having family fun is what we all need.

Leo would love to go to Centre Parcs in Elveden Forest with the family. He is such an outdoor-loving boy. His mental health has suffered so much through what he is dealing with, and his confidence too. Being outdoors is his happy, safe place, and being at Centre Parcs together as a family would bring him comfort, joy, and something to look forward to – and help rebuild muscle strength.”

Due to Leo’s treatment for the next six months, we will be booking his wish when he is ready. When we told Mum we have accepted his wish she said,

“We are absolutely thrilled; this is truly a bright spot for our family amidst everything we are going through with Leo’s treatment.”
